Carol McLean Brewer obtained a B.S.B.A. (with Honors) as well as her Law Degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Prior to joining Kemnitzer, Anderson, Barron, Ogilvie & Brewer LLP as a partner in 2001, she practiced law in West Palm Beach, Florida, for more than 20 years, concentrating in commercial litigation and consumer class actions. In Florida, she served on the Florida Bar Board of Governors and as President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Carol continues to specialize in consumer class actions and other consumer fraud cases. She has particular expertise in automobile repossession class actions. She has successfully acted as lead counsel or co-lead counsel in class actions against WFS Financial, Inc., Fireside Bank, CitiFinancial Auto, Arcadia Financial Ltd. and Bank of America, N.A., among others. She has also handled several appeals and writ petitions involving class actions with issues pursuant to California's Rees-Levering Automobile Sales Finance Act and Unfair Competition Law, including recent important published decisions by the California Supreme Court (Fireside Bank v. Superior Court (2007) 40 Cal.4th 1069) and the Court of Appeal (Juarez v. Arcadia Financial, Ltd. (2007) 152 Cal.App.4th 887). The Juarez case in particular has prompted auto finance companies to change their post-repossession notices to include complete information so as to allow consumers to reinstate their defaulted contracts.

Carol is admitted to practice in Florida and California.
